The PVS-14 is the all around best multi-functional night vision monocular available. Head or helmet mounted, the PVS-14 allows the user to retain their night adapted vision in one eye while viewing their surroundings through the illuminated eyepiece of the PVS-14. The new battery housing completes the perfect package by allowing the user to power off the unit when in an upright position and power on when flipped down. Another strength is its ability to be weapon mounted behind most collimated daylight aimers and Reflex sights. This allows the user the ability to use their PVS-14 both as a night vision monocular for increased mobility and tactical awareness and as a short range weapon sight. Gain control gives the user the ability to increase or decrease the tube gain. Under extremely dark conditions, gain control allows the user to adjust the gain upward, giving a better image. Under high light conditions, details can be washed out due to an excess of light. Lowering the system gain can allow those details to be better seen. Additional features of the PVS-14 include an infrared LED with LED indicator and a low battery indicator.
4G is specifically designed to address the stringent requirements of special forces operators. Feature Summary: The Manual Gain Control is one of the best performance enhancing options you can have on a night vision device. This feature gives the user the ability to override the automatic gain control that is standard on most units, thus allowing the manual gain adjustment to boost light gain beyond where the built-in auto gain would go in very low light situations. In essence it gives the user control to “tweak the brightness” of the night vision device to the users preference based on current light conditions which will often result in resolving objects that were too washed out or too dark to previously be identified.

Exportation of Night Vision Devices includes travel. This means you cannot take a night vision device with you if you leave the country. Just so we are clear, this
means it cannot be taken out of the country by plane (checked or carry-on luggage), train, boat, or automobile. Doing so is in direct violation of ITAR and, again, you will go to a Federal Penitentiary. This includes all civilian and law enforcement personnel (in short, flashing a badge will only make you less popular at the Federal Penitentiary).
On the same note, it is a violation of ITAR to allow any non-U.S. citizen to look through U.S. Gen3 night vision equipment (even on US Soil). They are also not allowed to have access to any operator’s manuals or documentation, whatsoever, pertaining to US Gen 3 Night Vision Devices. This is a little-known fact about ITAR and Night Vision Devices, but it is true. We have confirmed this with the US State Department and major Night Vision Manufacturers. Excellent product. Very impressed with the quality and clarity. Watched my dog running in the dark and could clearly see the hair on his back standing up. With the naked eye I couldn’t even see his outline. Get one of these.

This is the first NV device I have ever owned and I think it is awesome. Since I dropped $2,800 on it my expectations were really high and this unit didn’t disappoint. It works great…my friends who have used it are shocked by the performance. It is pretty awesome, since I bought it I can’t wait for it to get dark out so I can go use…I highly recommend.

Just purchased night vision from RMR and wow, am I impressed with the performance of this product. I would recommend RMR for honesty and top notch service. This product will not disappoint.
