Description

The LifeSaver Jerrycan (SKU JGA300) is a portable water purifier and storage can in one, a jerrycan for water that filters as you pour. It holds 4.9 gallons, filters up to 5,300 gallons of fresh water, and is rated to remove viruses, bacteria, cysts and microplastics. It’s our STANDARD water package for families and small teams who need clean water at home, in a vehicle, or at a campsite.

Why This LifeSaver Jerrycan Package

Water filters are where a lot of families go wrong. They buy a small filter, put it in a drawer, and never learn it doesn’t stop viruses. Chris saw this happen again and again. That’s why our team and vehicle water package starts with a purifier that handles viruses, not just bacteria.

The Jerrycan also stores water. Fill it from a creek, a rain barrel or a pond, pump the handle, and pour clean water from the tap. No tablets, no boiling, no power.

How Much Water Will It Make?

One LifeSaver filter cartridge purifies up to 5,300 gallons. A common planning rule is one gallon of water per person per day. At that rate:

  • 1 person: about 5,300 days
  • Family of 4: about 1,325 days, or more than three and a half years

Actual output depends on how dirty or cloudy your water source is. Muddy water clogs any filter faster.

How to Use the LifeSaver Jerrycan

  1. Prime the filter cartridge before first use, following the manual.
  2. Fill the can with fresh water from your source.
  3. Pump the handle to build pressure.
  4. Open the tap and fill your bottle or pot.

LifeSaver recommends keeping untreated water in the can and filtering it as you need it. Filtered water stored in another container can pick up germs again.

Built-In Fail-Safe

When the cartridge reaches the end of its life, water stops flowing. You won’t drink unfiltered water by mistake. Replacement cartridges and carbon discs are sold separately, and our PREMIUM team package adds spares so you’re covered for years.
