The PVS-14 is the standard-issue night vision optic serving US forces on the front lines of the Global War on Terror. Its phenomenal versatility makes it the premier choice for Law Enforcement Professionals as well. PVS-14’s can be mounted on helmets for hands-free use, behind weapon optics, or simply as a handheld device. As a monocular, the PVS-14 provides Gen 3 night vision aid to one of the operator’s eyes, leaving the other to retain its natural night-adapted vision. This is important when changing light conditions in the field cause the user to go back and forth between aided and un-aided vision. Military and Law Enforcement operators need the ability to instantly switch between night vision and white light as the
situation develops.
The PVS-14 is a U.S.-made Generation 3 night vision monocular based on the standard issue AN/PVS-14. Our professionally-trained and experienced technicians assemble the PVS-14 according to U.S. Military guide lines, using factory-new parts and hand-selected image intensifier tubes. We offer all PVS-14’s in several kit configurations to make sure end
 users get everything they want, while not paying for accessories they do not need.
This version of the PVS-14 is built with a new-production HARRIS WHP+ Gen3 White Phosphor image intensifier tube. These tubes meet the current U.S. Military contract specs and, provide some of the cleanest images available. White Phosphor is the latest technology advancement in image intensifier tubes. These tubes provide greater detail clarity and 15-20% more light transmission than standard thin-filmed green tubes. USSOCOM and JSOC have chosen white phosphor tubes as their new standard and are now taking delivery of these tubes exclusively.
Their better performance in lower light conditions has proven instrumental in the success of their nighttime missions. Now you can own a night vision goggle with the same tubes being used by Tier 1 Special Operations Forces.
L3 is one of two factory manufacturers of Gen3 image intensifier tubes in the United States. They provide the majority of goggle systems used by U.S. Special Operations Forces. L3 tubes are designed to be weapons-rated. These tubes are weapons rated for heavy calibers. However, the PVS-14 housing is not. PVS-14’s and other NVG’s are designed to
be worn on the head 99% of the time. Their lightweight polymer housings are not designed to stand up to heavy caliber weapon shock.

The export of Night Vision Equipment or related accessories (such as manuals) is strictly regulated by the US Department of State in accordance with the guidelines of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). It is a major crime to ship or carry US manufactured night vision devices outside the borders of the United States, punishable by fines and prison sentences. Ignorance of these regulations will not hold up in court. By purchasing night vision equipment from Ready Made Resources, you attest that you will not attempt to export or carry this night vision equipment outside the borders of the United States. Also, it illegal to allow a non-US Citizen to look through US Gen 3 Night Vision Devices, even on US soil. Again, this is a crime punishable by fines and prison sentences

Exportation of Night Vision Devices includes travel.  This means you cannot take a night vision device with you if you leave the country.  Just so we are clear, this means it cannot be taken out of the country by plane (checked or carry-on luggage), train, boat, or automobile.  Doing so is in direct violation of ITAR and, again, you will go to a Federal Penitentiary.  This includes all civilian and law enforcement personnel (in short, flashing a badge will only make you less popular at the Federal Penitentiary).

On the same note, it is a violation of ITAR to allow any non-U.S. citizen to look through U.S. Gen3 night vision equipment (even on US Soil).  They are also not allowed to have access to any operator’s manuals or documentation, whatsoever, pertaining to US Gen 3 Night Vision Devices.  This is a little-known fact about ITAR and Night Vision Devices, but it is true.  We have confirmed this with the US State Department and major Night Vision Manufacturers.  At Ready Made Resources, we take great care to ensure our clients are properly informed on laws and regulations pertaining to night vision.
