PVA Series Pump Controllers SunPumps PVA series pump Controllers are high quality, Micro-processor controlled DC power converters designed as the interface between a DC powered pump and the power source. The DC power source may be solar modules, batteries or systems using wind generators. The Main purpose of PV series controller is to maximize the total daily water delivery while providing protection for the pump as well as the power source. The Primary function of a PV series controller is to boost the voltage of solar modules or batteries from a low input voltage to the nominal running voltage of a DC motor while holding the voltage of the solar modules at the maximum power point. This allows a pump to start earlier in the morning and stay running longer in the evening and on cloudy days. Sunpumps PVA series pump controllers have many unique features designed specifically for water pumping. All PVA series controllers include a remote switch circuit, a sensor-less low water cut-off circuit, an electronic circuit and indicator lights. Sunpumps PVA series controllers are ideal for pumps using the batteries from a Home Power System as the power source. For example, using a 12 or 24 volt battery system, an SDS series submersible pump can be operated at 30 volts and an SCS series submersible can be operated at 60 volts. This allows a single pump to not only lift water from a well, but to also pressurize a tank for a water system. PVA 30-M1 Controller Specifications
Maximum ambient temperature is 120 F. Dimensions and Weights
SunPumps PC & PV Series Pump Controllers SunPumps PC and PV series pump controllers are high quality, micro-processor based, DC power converters designed as the interface between a DC powered pump and the power source. The DC source may be solar panels, wind generators, batteries, or any combination of the three. The main purpose of the controller is to maximize the total daily output while providing protection for the pump as well as the power source. Although both controllers provide the same end results, they accomplish these results in a slightly different manner. The main difference between the two types of controllers is the PC series are current boosters while the PV series are voltage boosters. The primary function of the PC series controllers is to boost the current of solar modules in low sunlight conditions while holding the voltage constant around the maximum power point. This allows a pump to start earlier in the morning and run longer at the end of the day as well as on cloudy days. With the PC series controllers, our adjustable output voltage adjustment models can be used to regulate the input voltage to a pump, helping match the output of the pump to the flow rate of a weak well. It can also be used to reduce a high voltage battery system to match the input requirements of a lower voltage pumping system. The primary function of the PV series controller is to boost the voltage of a battery or low voltage panel system to match the desired input voltage of a pump. For example, a PVA30-M1 controller with a 12 to 24 volt input will boost the output to 30 volts, the optimum operating voltage of an SDS series pump. SunPumps PC and PV series pump controllers are very versatile and have many unique features specifically designed for solar water pumping. All pump controllers include a remote float switch circuit, a low water cut-off circuit and an output speed control. Standard models are available from 12 to 180 volts DC, ranging from 1/10 to 3 HP. |
