X-Series BTECH Mobiles

The X-Series Mobiles introduce our new fully customizable Multi-Color LCD display screen. You can adjust the complete display to be exactly as you want it (with 9 available colors across 10 display elements). Beyond the display, you can fully customize your channels to display their alpha-numeric names or frequency settings.

The X-Series Mobiles also introduces our new dual sync mode! With this option, you can single or dual sync two different channels and display both their frequency and name simultaneously. If you prefer instead to monitor up to four channels; you can single line display a channel’s name or frequency. Additionally, as a new feature added: you can even monitor both VFO (frequency) and channel modes simultaneously.

Another feature introduced in the X-Series mobiles is the ability to edit your channel preferences without needing to program a new channel! You can edit tones, additional squelch information, and even add or remove it from your scanning list anytime!

Scanning channels and frequencies has now gotten even easier! A new menu allows you to select scanning resume methods. You can set the radio to start scanning immediately during reboot, resume scanning if you interrupt scanning to transmit, or start scanning soon as it powers on. The UV-50X2 will save your scanning preferences even with a power interruption. Frequency scanning has gotten a full overhaul; you can edit and scan through frequencies exactly as you prefer. Set your frequency range and frequency interval (step) right through the UV-50X2 on-screen interface.

You can adjust the Microphone Gain with the in-menu audio adjustments. The X-Series Mobiles include a 3.5mm Line In/Line Out multi-jack to allow remote audio input and output. (See manual for Jack Layout) *Requires TRRS Multi-jack speaker line, do not use a standard 3.5MM Mono Speaker-Out without an appropriate adaptor

Wide Frequency Coverage The UV-50X2 provides extended receiver coverage of 136-174MHz and 400-520MHz (beyond the Amateur bands), so you can keep informed of communication activities in the public safety, commercial, and government communications ranges. The UV-50X2 can transmit on Narrowband (12.5kHz) and Wideband (25kHz).

Quad Watch Receiver The UV-50X2 operates as multiple radios in one, with either 144 MHz or 430 MHz as the “Main” TX/RX band, while simultaneously watching up to 3 other frequencies or channels; and, if you like, you can configure your UV-50X2 for simultaneous VHF-VHF or UHF-UHF operation, too!

Dual Simultaneous Display For those that want to have the most information at their fingertips on a specific channel – you can synchronize the display to link together! This allow full name and frequency monitoring on one or two channels; which still allows you to dual watch or tri-watch your other display channels.

High Power Output To get your message through when it counts, the UV-50X2 will put out 50+ Watts of power on the VHF and UHF bands.

FM Broadcast StationYou can listen to the FM Broadcast radio, while still monitoring your radio frequencies in the background. Any incoming call will be given priority insuring you never miss an important call while listening to the radio.

Group Tones supportedThe UV-50X2 supports the most common Analog Tones. It supports CTCSS, DCS, 2Tone, 5Tone, and DTMF calling methods. Set-up your calling methods to call by group tones. Tone calling (private line) is required by most repeater applications and the UV-50X2 supports the latest standards.

The UV-50X2 can even send DTMF tones. This allows for sending ANI (Caller ID) or remote commands that require DTMF tones; or it can receive incoming DTMF tones to allow for remote stun or kill commands

Fully Customizable through the Free Software You can program your UV-50X2 exactly how you want it. There are 200 programmable memory channels. You can add or remove channels from scanning list. You can give channels alphanumeric names. The radio has an available low power setting of 10 watts, allowing you to choose how far you communicate. You can easily program from a PC to set-up the radio to operate exactly as needed. (The PC04 FTDI Cable is recommended for easy programming)
