The PVS-14 is widely regarded as the best all-around, multi-functional night vision monocular available. It can be mounted on the head or helmet, allowing the user to maintain night-adapted vision in one eye while viewing through the illuminated eyepiece of the PVS-14. The new battery housing enhances its functionality by enabling the unit to power off when in an upright position and power on when flipped down. It can also be weapon-mounted behind most collimated daylight aimers and reflex sights, providing increased mobility and tactical awareness as both a night vision monocular and a short-range weapon sight. The gain control feature allows users to adjust the tube gain, enhancing image clarity in various light conditions.

The PVS-14 also features an infrared LED with an LED indicator and a low battery indicator. The 4G technology is designed to meet the stringent requirements of special forces operators, offering ultra-fast auto-gating, the smallest halo, and an unrivaled spectral range from ultraviolet to near-infrared. This technology provides a significant advantage in the darkest nights, across all terrains and operations. The Photonis “Onyx” white phosphor further enhances performance.

Feature Summary

The manual gain control is one of the best performance-enhancing options available on a night vision device. It allows the user to override the automatic gain control standard on most units, enabling manual gain adjustment to boost light gain beyond the built-in auto gain in very low light situations. This feature allows the user to “tweak the brightness” of the device to their preference based on current light conditions, often resolving objects that were previously too washed out or too dark to identify.

    Excellent product. Very impressed with the quality and clarity. Watched my dog running in the dark and could clearly see the hair on his back standing up. With the naked eye I couldn’t even see his outline. Get one of these.

It works great…my friends who have used it are shocked by the performance. It is pretty awesome, since I bought it I can’t wait for it to get dark out so I can go use…I highly recommend.

    Just purchased night vision from RMR and wow, am I impressed with the performance of this product. I would recommend RMR for honesty and top notch service. This product will not disappoint. Don’t waist time trying to find a better product or better price. This same unit cost up to $4300 on other web sites.

    Upgraded from a PVS7 GEN 2+ to the PHOTONIS ECHO PVS 14. Very satisfied! Received it within 2 weeks of purchased and upon firing it up for the first time I was convinced that I made the right purchase. Great specs! Very good resolution and love the ability of having manual gain at my finger tips. Picks up my Steiner DBAL laser (ir mode) perfectly. Low light, no light, some light, and moon light it just works! Love checking out the stars at night with this unit and seeing some interesting objects moving about that one could never hope to see with the naked eye. Mounted my PVS 14 to a Wilcox G11 (perfect mount by the way, thank you readymade) that’s attached to an HHV ATE 2. Everything works and lines up together perfectly! Once again, thank you Ready Made Resources for a great deal and an awesome tube! I definitely recommend this set up for the folks that’re skittish about crossing over the $3k and $4k threshold. You will not be disappointed.

    Great customer service. Was planning on getting the harris gen 3 pinnacle. But was called and notified about the wait time of 4 months. Time team spent about 20 min on the phone with me explaining different options/info and suggested to get the photonis echo. Was told it would be around a 30 day wait so I went for it. Recieved the unit about 2 weeks ahead of time. My first nv unit and I’m impressed. Once you figure out how to use it optimally, it is very clear and bright. Can see a few hundred yards even on an overcast night without any artificial illumination. Would reccomend talking to these people if you’re interested in getting into a night vision unit. Great customer service and knowledgable.

    Bought this unit based off reviews, and it was the best made decision. I was nervous and skeptical at first putting faith in paying so much for an online order. I ended up purchasing the 14’s, paired with the Wilcox G11 and DBAL A3. I first received the DBAL and Wilcox mount ~1week after ordering. Then, I believe maybe 2.5 weeks later the UPS truck shows up, out of nowhere, and i had the 14’s in hand. I was disappointed that neither package was signature required, however where i reside, porch pirates aren’t a problem. As far as the unit…Pristine AND High FOM! It could be pitch black and you can still see. This unit is a total upgrade from what I used being prior service infantry using green phos 14’s. So of you’re looking thru these reviews take this one in for consideration. Buy once, cry once. LONG Story short is, it’s only a small price to pay to own the night!
