M18A3 Chemical Agent Detector Kit

Overview:
     The M18A3 Chemical Agent Detector Kit by TRUETECH is designed primarily for detecting dangerous concentrations of vapors, aerosols, and liquid droplets of the chemical agents listed below.  

Description:
     The M18A3 is considered a point detector.  The user can point a detector tube or detector ticket at a particular point, and sample the vapors, aerosols or liquid droplets in that direction.

     The M18A3 kit should be used by chemical specialty personnel.  This kit is capable of  sampling for unknown NBC agents.  If a chemical agent is suspected but cannot be detected with the kit, vapor samples can be collected in sampling tubes for transportation to a laboratory for identification. 

     In 2009, the State of California’s FIRESCOPE Standardized Equipment List (see page 21, Sections 1.2.9) listed the M18A3 as a required item for emergency and Hazmat first responders.

     The principle uses of the kit are:

1. For reconnaissance in areas suspected of chemical agent contamination.
2. For finding the boundaries of contaminated areas.
3. For determining the absence of a chemical agent so that unmasking following a chemical agent attack can be initiated.
4. For testing for the presence of a chemical agent after decontamination.
5. For collecting samples of suspected but unidentified chemical agents.

     Ethyl Dichloroarsine (ED)

     Nerve Agents (V- and G-agents)

     Minimum order is (10) M18A3 kits.  Each kit weighs 2.7 pounds.

     M18A3 can be purchased in individual kits, or by the case.  There are 24 kits in each case.

     This product is considered toxic and must be shipped via freight with Hazmat restrictions in place.
