Executive Summary
The Hextenna™ is a portable system for 2 through 20 meters, plus 220MHz, & 440MHz, which has an option for a 40 meter add-on. When setup as a 20 meter dipole antenna, for example, it has two self supporting telescopic whips that have a total deployed length of about 34 feet. Additional antenna types that can be deployed using optional components include a Vertical by adding 4 user supplied counterpoise, or Delta Loop by adding a user supplied 24 gauge jumper wire between the tips of the whips in a dipole configuration. No matter what the antenna type you deploy, you will manually adjust the length of the telescopic whip(s) when changing bands, which means you do not use an antenna tuner with this system. It is recommended that you ALWAYS guy this system, with the exception of deployment on the optional & recommended HD-FMJ Tripod or with the included Top of Mast Mount affixed firmly to a well supported user provided mast.

Overview
The full-sized portable Hextenna™ by Alpha Antenna® is a multi-band system that is deployable as three separate antenna types. These include the options for a Vertical, Dipole, or Delta Loop (with user supplied jumper wire between the tips of the dipole elements).

To Be Clear
The whips for the Hextenna™ are telescopic, so as to enable you to adjust the whips and make the Hextenna™ resonate as close as possible for the band you are using. This antenna is just like a real Dipole and a real Vertical and Delta Loop and is not a ‘no tune all-band antenna’.

Deployment
The Hextenna™ is packable into a 24 x 4 1/2 inch space. Deployment can be achieved using the included Top of Mast Mount, which can be affixed to any sized pipe between 3/8 to 1 1/4 inch outside diameter. It is recommended that you ALWAYS guy this system, with the exception of deployment on the optional & recommended HD-FMJ Tripod or with the included Top of Mast Mount affixed firmly to a well supported user provided mast.

Operation
The Hextenna™ uses adjustable telescopic whips for tuning and to provide continuous coverage from 2 meters through 20 meters plus 220MHz & 440MHz, and optional clip-on wire dipole elements for coverage of 40 meters.
